The Truth About Eggs

Good afternoon!

“I can’t eat eggs everyday…my cholesterol would go through the roof and I would explode!”

That’s a slight exaggeration, but not much, of what I hear when I tell them to eat eggs for breakfast instead of the sugar filled “natural” instant oatmeal or “whole grain” bread.  I promise you, eating the latter will give you far more health issues down the road than eating eggs will.

It’s not your fault that you think this though, because it’s been pounded into our heads that “whole grains” are good and eggs are bad.

I have 2-4 eggs almost everyday for lunch, combined with some turkey bacon and spinach.  You don’t have to eat that many, but you can sure have more than 2 eggs/week like some people will tell you.

Check out this article on eggs and let’s finally put this “eggs are bad” nutritional myth to rest once and for all:

One thing I would recommend if you are having eggs a few times a week would be to change up how you cook them.  So you could do scrambled one day, over easy the next, hard yolk after that and so on.  That way it just reduces the small chances of any allergies developing and you can keep enjoying them.

So go check out that article and then go cook enjoy some eggs guilt free! :)
