Good morning to my Bodyshaping Community!
Well, after a long night of “food-poisoning-like” symptoms from an allergic reaction last night which stopped me from going to see The Avengers (
), I’m feeling better and ready to crush this week with some solid articles to help transform your body and your life.
One of the most underutilized motivational strategies for people transforming their bodies is to take before and after pictures.
I call this the “Step Before Your First Step”.
Before you do anything else, before you start training, before you tighten up your nutrition plan, get out a camera and snap a quick “before” picture.
Then, find a picture (or a couple pictures) to serve as your “after” picture placeholder.
This can be any picture that motivates you to train hard and eat properly, even when you don’t feel like it.
Now, put those pictures somewhere you will see them every single day.
Put them somewhere you look as soon you wake up in the morning, and the last place you look before closing your eyes to go to bed.
Put them on your fridge, on your mirror, in your car, at your desk. Everywhere.
Seeing these pictures everywhere will keep you motivated even your darkest hour when you feel yourself pulling into the McDonalds drive through or missing a training session.
POWER MOVE: Put the pictures up somewhere that all of your friends and family will see also. And tell them what you’re doing and the changes you’re making to enhance your life. This will not only help build you a support system it will motivate you even more because now more people know about your goals and they feel more “real” somehow.
And finally, every 3 months take another picture of yourself and watch how your body changes.
Dedicated to your success,
